Padanilam Parabrahma Temple Sivarathri is also an important festival in Alappuzha district. This place can also be called the 'Festival Village of Alappuzha' because Padanilam witnesses a large number of festivals every year including vrischika mahotsavam and irupathiyetttamonam. Padanilam is a place of religious unity.

Vrischika Mahotsavam and Chirappu
Vrischikotsavam or 'Panthrandu Villakku' is a 12 day carnival held from Malayalam calender month Vrichikam 1 to 12 (fall in November). The devotees even from far away places come and stay in the Padanilam in small huts called 'Kudil' irrespective of their social status, creating a one and only world of "human being". The 4th month Vrischikam in its full swing alongwith the first eleven days of the next month Dhanu, is called the Mandala Period. Mandala Chirappu is celebrated on these 41 days. In Padanilam Parabrahma Temple every year Chirappu Mahotsavam is celebrated during December and January. During this period cultural programs will be arranged in the Parabrahma auditorium. These programs include cultural and spiritual talks by famous personalities , entertainment programs such as drama, dances, Kathakali, orchestra etc.

Irupathiyettamonam
Irupathiyettam onam is celebrated every year in Padanilam Temple on the 28 th day of the Onam festival. Normally the day falls in September or October. During Irupathiyettam onam floats are brought to the Padanilam by different groups of people from all the sides of Nooranad. There will be a large number of these start coming from after noon to the temple premises accompanied by a large number of people, music and drums(chenda) etc . Sreemadh Bhagavatha Sapthaha Yagnam
Every year there has been conducting Bhagavatha Sapthaha yajnam, during August/September. This includes detail description of Bhagavatham followed by religious speeches, cultural, traditional programs and Annadhanam. The purpose of Sapthaham is to provide a positive energy to the belivers by reading the Bhagavatham in seven days. Kuchela Jayanthi and Rugmini Swayamvaram are the most imortant parts of sapthaham.
